Child Safety Standards

Child Safety Standards

Liyo has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). These are our published standards for keeping children safe on our platform.

Effective date: June 29, 2026

1. Our Commitment

Liyo is committed to preventing, detecting, and removing child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on our platform. We have zero tolerance for any content or conduct that sexualises, exploits, endangers, or harms children, and we act on it immediately.

Liyo is a community for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly allow children below our minimum age to use the Service, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on Liyo and are removed the moment we become aware of them:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including real, animated, AI-generated, or computer-generated imagery;
  • Sexualisation of minors, including sexual descriptions, requests, or commentary involving anyone under 18;
  • Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to sexually exploit, lure, or extort a child;
  • Sharing, requesting, linking to, or promoting CSAE or CSAM; and
  • Trafficking, endangerment, or any other exploitation of minors.

These standards build on the prohibitions already set out in our Community Guidelines, which forbid any content that sexually exploits or endangers children.

3. Minimum Age

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Liyo, as set out in our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. If we become aware that an account belongs to a child under this age, we remove the account and any associated personal information.

4. How We Prevent and Detect

We use layered safeguards to keep CSAE off the platform:

  • AI pre-screening: Content submitted to Liyo is reviewed by automated tools before publication, and content flagged as potentially exploiting or endangering children is blocked or held for review;
  • Human moderation: Our moderation team reviews flagged and reported content and makes final decisions;
  • Community reporting: Anyone can report a post or answer they believe violates these standards, and such reports are prioritised; and
  • Anonymity with accountability: Anonymity on Liyo is never a shield for abuse. We retain the technical ability to action accounts and to respond to lawful requests.

5. How to Report Child Safety Concerns

If you encounter content or behaviour that exploits or endangers a child, please report it right away:

  • In the app: Use the “Report” button on any post or answer to flag it for our moderation team.
  • By email: Contact our child safety team directly at [email protected]. Reports of CSAE are treated as urgent.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement or emergency services first.

6. How We Respond

When we identify or receive a report of CSAE, we act promptly to:

  • Remove the violating content;
  • Permanently ban the account or accounts involved;
  • Preserve relevant evidence in line with applicable law; and
  • Report to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and, where relevant, the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau or other competent local law enforcement.

7. Legal Compliance

Liyo complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where we operate. We cooperate with valid legal requests from law enforcement and child protection authorities investigating the exploitation of children.

8. Child Safety Point of Contact

Our designated point of contact for child safety matters, including questions about these standards and reports of CSAE, is [email protected]. We aim to review and act on child safety reports as a priority.

9. Updates

We may update these Child Safety Standards from time to time as our platform and the relevant legal requirements evolve. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the current standards.
