Account & Data Deletion

The fastest way to delete your Liyo account is from inside the app:

1. Open the Liyo app and sign in.
2. Go to your Profile tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
4. In the confirmation dialog, tick “I understand this action is permanent and cannot be undone”, then tap Delete.

Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out. This works the same whether you signed up with email and password or with Google. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, you can still request deletion. Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Delete my account”.

We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and complete the deletion within 30 days. We may contact you at that email address if we need to confirm your identity before deleting the account.

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

• Your account and profile: email address, anonymous display name, and profile image;
• Your login credentials and any linked Google sign-in connection;
• All active sessions and email-verification tokens;
• Push-notification (device) tokens used to send you notifications;
• Your saved country/region preference;
• Reports filed about your account; and
• Your rewards balance, points, and streak history.

Anonymous public content. Liyo is an anonymous community, so posts you created (questions, answers, polls, and secrets) may remain visible so that conversations stay intact. This content is unlinked from your account and shown only under its anonymous handle, with no personal data attached. If you want specific posts removed, delete them individually in the app before deleting your account.

Backups. Residual copies of your data in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days of deletion.

Legal and billing records. If you used paid advertiser features, we retain the minimum billing and transaction records required to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations (typically up to 7 years), after which they are deleted.
